Is this TOO obsessed?
I am at work today with my baby right outside my window. I washed my car this morning, and out of nowhere 1 stupid cloud decides to rain for about 3 minutes all over my parking lot, before it thens turns back into a bright sunny day. I decide, since i have dry rags in the car, to quiclky get out there and dry the G off before water spots devlop and ruin my nice clean car. Everyone in my office is giving me the gears before I head out about being "****", and "Obsessed", "Its just a car..." etc....
I couldnt care less what they think and/or say.
I do want to know who else would be doing this as well though.
Any Thoughts or comments?

That is a bit.. but I'm not gonna judge. I did that on my first car as a teen. Gotta be careful though.. sometimes your car gets some small grains of sand or nasty dust on it when you drive somewhere. So wiping it down after that might scratch your car.

I would do it too. But, I'm afraid to say . . .
I too am just a little too obsessed with the cars I own.
On the other hand, one might argue . . .
There is nothing wrong with having a hobby/interest (such as cars).
You spent some money on that thing . . .
You love it right?
so . . .
Just because 'they' don't keep their cars nice, doesnt mean you have to follow the herd off the side of the cliff.

I don't think it's TOO obsessed. But definitely obsessed. I also would've done the same.
People can say what they want but for most a car is the 2nd largest investment/purchase a person will make in their lifetime. Why not take care of it. Another fact to argue how stupid it is to put a bunch of useless trash in your garage and let a $40k car sit outside.

The one time it rained and I left my G outside, I left the party, went home, used a leafblower to my G IN THE GARAGE while it was raining outside. Then I took my beater Camry back to the party. Enough said.

I don't think it's too obsessed at all. I get pissed as hell when I just washed my car and it rains...if I had towels in my car, I would get out there and dry it off too.
All those people who give you a hard time are the ones whose cars are in very sh*tty condition, so the hell with them.
Cars are meant to be DRIVEN, but they're meant to be taken care of, too.
Dragon, you always tell us how you never drive your car for the smallest reasons "Oh the humidity level was a bit too high so I decided not to drive", etc. You might as well not even have the car dude...instead of actually driving the car, you just sit at home and post on all these forums constantly talking sh*t and then you brag about how little miles are on your car as if you take such good care of it, yet you can't even stop the rock chips after only 10 miles of driving...yeah, real cool man.

Hahaha there is a guy on the M3 forum that washes his car every 2 days. Takes it aroudn the town to do photoshoots for himself. He keeps it top notch clean and do mods only for appearance. Compare to him, you are nowhere near obessive. Be careful about wiping it after it rains there might be sand.
I was following a 360 Modena the other day and the guy brakes in the middle of a 45mph street just to avoid getting sprinkler water splashed on his car. I almost hit him. What a moron.

That's not being obsessive.. If it rained after I washed my car, I would wash it again!! Who knows what's in rain.. especially here in LA.
An as to the M3 owner.. I wonder if that's my friend. He's super obsessive. He once washed his car WHILE IT WAS RAINING.. at 11:00 at night. He also hates it if you touch any painted surface on his car.

Try living in California, b*tch. I only have 3 mother f*cken rock chips. Ask how the other SoCal people how many they have. And 2400 miles. Yea.. waddup. Why do I have the car? It's a hot ride, and it's basically brand new still. I don't understand this concept of my talking sh*t either.
