my coupe rides pretty low on 20s and im planning on buying some cheap stock 17s with snow tires for the winter. i was wondering what the ideal tire size would be that would fit, keep my ride height the same or a little higher, and still look alright. i dont want it to get any lower or ill be a snow plow.
thanks in advance austin

if your going from 20s to 17s..being that your cars pretty low, your going to need to raise the car a lot, leaving the car as is height wise will bring the car down to the pavement once you drop to 17s
from there, if you go down to any tire store theyll give you good fitting tire specs, generally

I may be way off base here, but if you have 20"s on now, and you go to 17"s, the ride height should not change if you go with the same overall size diameter.
If your running 265/30/20's and they are the same diameter as stock 19's, then the 17''s w/225/50 or 225/55 will be the same diameter as the stock 19/18's. Hope that makes sense.

yea.. it makes sense.. thats what i was thinking too. but im just not educated (yet) on the sizes of tires. im only gonna use the 17s for couple months during the snow crap.. and it snowed today! had to drive the truck.. YUCK! lol thanks again for the help!
