i too thought the 06-07 models had a few better gas mileage and HP.

but the deal breaker for me personally was the Bluetooth, Intelligent Key and Seat Memory. just little bells-and-whistles i was used to from my previous car and instantly said "where is...." when i drove an 05 (almost bought an 05 before i opted to go with an 06 or 07 instead). couldn't be without them.

That's it. It doesn't have better gas mileage, Intelligent key is an option on 05-07. The interior is the same, it was upgraded in the 05 model.

I would get the 05 and buy projectors and new tails and put them in. I heard the bluetooth was pretty crappy anyway since it brings in wayyy too much background noise. This will save you thousands of dollars.

Please tell us the prices on both model years, mileage, and options if they are not the same.
^+1

i have an 05 and my interior is the same as 06-07 becides the bluetooth crap

what's the smart key? Is that the thing that the new altimas have? they just push the button to start the car as long as you have the remote on you and the key for the glove and the trunk slide out?

05 was a great year, in my opinion the first year they started getting things right, 03-04 had interior road noise problems etc.....however nowdays the oil consumption is becoming a problem in the 05-06 rev-ups, but you want a automatic transmission which is not an issue.

06 07 would be nice years, you just pay a little more.

I would opt for a late production 2006, that way you have some bumper to bumper warranty left, and plenty of powertrain warranty.
