Hey everyone I'm about to purchase a used g35 coupe, and was wondering if I should go with the g35 2005 or 2007...

Any input on which year model I should get would greatly appreciated, thanks!

 

Do you plan on 5AT or 6MT? Are you getting a base model?

 

get an 06+..
it has upgraded headlights,taillights,better interior,and if you get an auto you will have the intelligent key

 

I'm planning on buying the automatic, sorry for not specifying.

Went to dealer yesterday and quoted an 06 for 28k. I lol'd.

 

I bought an 07 AT with 15K on it fully loaded for $24,700...

 

i bought an 07 AT with 20k on it fully loaded for $30,000 in Sept. love this economy...there goes my equity! LOL

i just bought a g35 2007 6mt with 14k miles black on black with prem package and nav, certitied pre owned from an infiniti dealership for 27k....

the 2007 includes keyless entry, bluetooth, better gas mileage than 05 (slight, but still worth mentioning),

what are the other key differences between the 07 and the 05? i was looking at the 05 for a few days since i didnt think i could afford a g with 14k miles, but i was wrong...

everywhere i look online, different websites have different specs for the 2007 coupe 6mt....

does anyone know where i can find a link to exact specs for the 07?...im looking to find out what comes standard, what is optional, and what stuff comes with what packages...its been sooo annoying trying to get consistent 3rd party info on this vechicle....

 

The 05 is missing 3 things the 07 doesn't have:

Bluetooth
Updated Taillights
Updated Headlights.

That's it. It doesn't have better gas mileage, Intelligent key is an option on 05-07. The interior is the same, it was upgraded in the 05 model.

I would get the 05 and buy projectors and new tails and put them in. I heard the bluetooth was pretty crappy anyway since it brings in wayyy too much background noise. This will save you thousands of dollars.

Please tell us the prices on both model years, mileage, and options if they are not the same.

Nope 05. Trust me I've been comparing buying an 05 vs. 06 coupe for a long time now. 05 Got new gauges, and new brushed alunium instead of plastic, and also the cassete player was deleted.

 

features the 06-07 has up on the 05 from my research include:

Bluetooth (w/ Prem Package)
New Taillights
New Headlights
New Spoiler (w/ Aero Package or optional)
New Front Lip (w/ Sport Package)
Intelligent Key (w/ Prem Package)
Drivers seat and steering wheel memory (w/ Prem Package)
Active Rear-Steer System (versus Passive - w/ Sport Package)

 

You're right about the Intelligent Key on 06-07, but the 07 doesn't have any added hp or gas mileage. Hp is still 280, and the gas mileage is still 18/25. You may have seen the mpg ratings for the 6MT, which is 19/26.
