On a kinder note, OP you should ask yourself what kind of driving you do, and how involved you want to be in the driving experience, whether anyone else (non-MT drivers) will be driving your car etc.

Interesting to note that nearly all the respondents are 6MT drivers, who of course will say 6MT. You should drive both for more than a few minutes and make your own decision.
"You should get the fvck off the road and ride a tricycle."

You sound like an *******. Poor choice of words. He justified why he bought an auto. What's so bad about that?

My words were carefully chosen to convey the precise message I intended. If you don't know what that message is, you should ride on the tricycle behind him.

An true dedicated MT driver wouldn't even have to think about it.

I totally agree. An auto is an auto and a MT is an MT. Two completely different experiences. If you don't know that auto is the way to go.

^+1 Swivel on the tricycle advice.

There's several of us MT drivers here that think he should get an auto, me included.

I will clarify one thing, then I'm done here - eating or talking on the phone while driving is dangerous, stupid and -- in jurisdictions where the collective IQ exceeds room temperature -- illegal. I don't want to be anywhere near this clown when he's checking FaceBook while eating his Whopper and runs over 6 people in the crosswalk...

EDIT: My apologies to the OP for taking this off topic.

I love my 6MT and specifically looked for one. I've never owned an auto and dont think I ever will. I live in the DC area... traffic is traffic. If you've got weak, skinny @ss legs and can't handle it then you have no business driving a MT.

Personally, I like how much more control I have over the car in a MT. I almost feel bonded to the car. It makes the driving experience soooo much better.

Hell, I even choose the MT option when playing video games

i've driven both. the G is a lesser car in automatic form... even if you shift the AT manually... it's no where near the same.
