I Literally just got my car back from being re-painted with body kit and all along with the seibon ts hood, I have to drive back to cali from az today and am wondering if I should install hood pins, I bought the aerocatch ones but nobody seems to have any idea how to install them or even if they do they don't want to install them. Do these hood really need hood pins I have kind of heard that they are unnecessary from a lot of people?

Did u paint the TS hood? if so I would be extreme careful bc drilling into the hood now might cause spider cracks in the paint.

I have seen a lot of ppl drive around without pins and they said they never had an issue but I'm too scare to take that chance.

I dont think that really counts. It was more installation issues.

Quote: When we installed it on his car the hood never fit right. We did mine afterwards and it was perfect. Something was wrong with his hood latch from the start. He took it to a shop to fix it, and a year went by with no problems. Regardless he should of gotten hood pins.

yeah the hood was painted, i've seen that post before, I've talked to some dealers and they say the hood should be fine but i'm just really worried its gonna fly up after basically reading that post, are the aerocatch really that hard to install? what are the chances of it cracking my paint
