Vdc off and abs lights on and no xenons

Please help!!! I have searched to no avail. The other post have ABS and VDC OFF with slip light on as I DO NOT have the slip light on problem. This all started with a dead battery. Got a jump and drove to Auto Zone to get a new battery. I pulled out the old one and put the new one in. I did this and the fog lights went on. I looked on my dash and the Brights light was on as was my emergency flasher light which was solid not flashing. I figured out the battery was connected backwards. There was no way to pull the cables far enough to make that battery work...so i just assumed it was made to our car specs as this is the battery that comes up for my car in the Auto Zone computer .I put old battery back in and get about 500 yards before I start to loose power slowly. ALTERNATOR!!! I know that this was the problem. A friend changed the alternator and battery and he dropped it back to my house. I had no audio and the ac unit was stuck at 73 and i ould not adjust it, also no air coming out of the vents. I changed 3 15A fuses that I blew (radio and both blowers). Now have audio and ac control. My ABS and VDC OFF lights remain on (checked all fuses no others are blown) and my new (two week old) xenon headlights dont go on. I have fogs and turn signals. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Please your help is much appreciated!

well, I found a hidden fuse box BEHIND the battery and found 4 more blown fuses. All back to normal with the exception of the SES light being on.
