Has this ever happened to ur exhaust?

i have an hks hi-power exhaust about a year and 1/2 now n i started hearing a leak from the driverside rear, so i when under and looked around. well i found that where the hanger is welded to the pipe, corrosion was occuring... and the whole f**king hanger broke off wtf! so my solution besides getting it rewelded was to use this JB Weld stuff, kinda like liquid steel. cost me like 6 bucks, and stands up to 500 degrees F. here are some iphone pics

i placed a piece of sheet metal over it so the stuff would stick to it, i actually covered the entire piece with JB Weld, it looks sloppy but after it hardened i sanded it smooth to the finish

after it cured, worked like wonders. no more leak, and hard as hell.

Mickey Mouse Fix....!

My guess is you just screwed yourself by trying to fix the system. HKS has
a guarantee on their systems for as long as you own the car. Had you notified
the company you purchased the system from you could have received a
new HKS cat-back exhaust. Go to a muffler shop and have them insert a new
piece/hanger where you did the patch job then you'll be much better off....

It's too late, once you modify their system it makes the warranty null/void!
That's why I suggested he go to a muffler shop and get the hanger and
patch job done right....
