Brembo Brakes
Brembo Brakes
Do 2005 G35's come with Brembo brakes? ie sport/premium package?
From wiki:
"Brembo brakes were removed for the 2005 and 2006 models, and the brakes were redesigned with larger discs and a different caliper design. This was partly in response to a number of complaints about the previous years' brakes, which included a class action lawsuit filed in California related to premature wear on 2003-2004 models[4][5]. A sport-tuned suspension package was standard on all six-speed manual equipped models, which included a viscous limited slip differential and the higher output VQ35DE "Rev-UP" engine."
I want the cool looking brembos... haha
Also, does anyone have any information on the rev up engine?

Search is your friend... there is plenty of info on the rev-up motor here on the forums. And no 05's do NOT come with brembos. As wiki stated, they deleted the brembo's after 04. Only 03-04 6mt coupes came with brembos.

What kinda info are you looking for on the rev-up? besides the higher hp output and the lower tq compared to previous years.
just some basic info on the rev up engine and why its called a 'rev-up' engine..
so this brembo problem has been fixed for the 350z's? did the brembos ever come back to the g35's in the later years?

As far as why they call it a rev up motor I have no idea, what I do know is that the rev up is making 295 hp and has ~10 tq less than the previous motor in the 03 04. Theres also a problem with some rev up motors burning oil youll want to look into this and maybe have your dealership preform a oil consumption test on the engine if you have a 06 or 07. I just had mine done at the dealer and it burned 10mm worth of oil in 1500 miles but infiniti claims that normal

edit: just saw you have a 05 so I dont think the oil problem will effect you
