Yeah. I'd imagine the idea of intelli-key would be HELLA expensive to do with manual transmission cars. The whole reason you gotta pay an arm and a leg to get an auto start in a manual is because they have to go around the clutch engagement and it ain't cheap to do.

Even with the 6mt's, can you do the key in the pocket, unlock the door with the button on the handle thing or is that JUST with intellikeys?

I thought I asked this question re BlueTooth Tech in the G. www.parrot.com www.bueantwireless.com which I just purchased. I won't wear an ear piece, too dorky for me. It's synced to both mine and my wife's cells. I'll try it today as I bought it yesterday. Hopefully it will be truly hands free which is what I'm looking for.

You're just making excuses for Infiniti now... I have autostart, the idea is simple yet effective, and it was easy to do, nor was it expensive.

I'm not making excuses for anyone. I'm talking in generalization. Personally, I think autostart is for women and terrorist, but I do think the intellikey feature is cool and James Bondish. As an ex-installer and a current consumer of automotive goods and services related to automobiles, manual transmission autostart has ALWAYS been more expensive to install and more of a PITA than automatic transmission. Infiniti, or Nissan as I affectionately call them, is no different.

Sure it is...... Autostart is not offered with manual transmissions because it's a liability and is unlawful in some states. As an ex-installer, you should know that.

It ain't unlawful in NY or NC. Those are the only 2 states I was ever concerned about. Furthermore, only "GOOD" installers know all the of legalities of their business. I was like 19 when I (got paid to) install items. Then, I got in trouble by my drill sargeant. Granted, all that was about 10 years, and a baby ago. Lastly, being that "expensive" is a relative term, what is inexpensive to you may be expensive to someone else. And if I could get autostart on an auto-tranny car for 99.99 and it cost me 349.99 to do the exact same on a manual tranny car, that would qualify as expensive to me...or at the ver least, an arm and leg in comparison. Savvy?

i have an '06 6mt with every option available except intellikey. the bluetooth is very nice especially if you have a phone that can automatically sync the address book with the car.

I've had the Parrot CK3100 in my coupe for 2 weeks now. This thing is the cat's ***. It's perfectly clear, and it mutes the stereo when a call comes in. It took less than 1 minute to load my 100+ person address book into the unit.
