Extended warranty worth it?

Infiniti quoted me $1726 for a four-year/48,000 mile warranty whichever comes first. I have an 04 6mt w/48k miles...you guys think it's worth it?

is that an extra 4 years/48k to the original warranty. if so I say yea b/c repairs for damages can be quite pricey. they esp like to break once they are out of warranty

cost?

Well I think that comes out to $1.18 a day cost for 4 years. I think it is worth it. What the hell can you get for a dollar a day now a days? Sounds like cheap peace of mind. Just get it.

If your engine, tranny or even your clutch takes a dump that $1700 will seem
like pocket change....go for it! Cheap insurance for the next 4 years for total
coverage....

Frisco - which Infiniti quoted you the extended warranty coverage? Is this for the Infiniti Elite Warranty? Thanks!

Please get the extended warranty, you will sleep much better. I leased a 944 in 1986 4 months later the water pump died, so i took it to the dealer and they put in a new one, 5 weeks later that one died also. The moral of the story is each water pump was $750 each.

^^ I don't know man, flip the coin I guess. But I don't trust on those extended warranty, even the car with original warranty is already hard to have things replaced unless they can't deny that's the car's faulty. Got bad experiences + buddies got bad experiences.

I bought an extended warranty when I bought my new 04, went out to 7 years/100K miles, of which 7 years will expire first for me.

I think $900 (3rd party), and it saved me $500 on new lifters, etc, for my drivers seat after my factory warranty ended for that. So I'm still under, and I hope I remain so.

On my truck, I bought a warranty for that too, and only got $450 usage out of $1200 (truck was already 5 years old when I bought it).

Unless I end up having to use my warranty in the next 20 months remaining on it, I think I'll skip it on my next (new) car unless it is real cheap. Just won't spend all my savings on the car itself, and leave a repair account.

I was offered the Zurich extended warranty when I purchased my 04 this past year for around 1200 for 4yr/48K with 100.00 deductable. Decided to pass from the dealer I purchased my car through. I ended up going to Infiniti a couple days later and getting their extended elite warranty for 1550 for 4yr/48k with 100.00 deductable from the current milage which was 33k. The Infiniti warranty was a little more but i just felt more comfortable than purchasing from a third party vendor.

I'd get it...worry free about the factory warranty runs out. I purchased Elite extended warranty for around $1400.
