Badging/Debadging in Fresno, CA & Upper Glovebox Fix
Honestly I've seen so many threads about JDM badges, pros and cons and how it's rice, it makes me sick.
In my opinion (and you guys can hate it or love it) is JDM badges are OK if the owner wants them. I totally agree that in some cases JDM badges totally shouldn't be on the car, for instance all those Honda Civic EX or LX owners badging their cars as Si when it obviously isn't or anywhere near an Si model. Basically if you've put in the amount of work to convert it or upgrade your car to be able to JDM badge it, then go for it. If not please leave JDM badges to the real cars.
In the G35 case I wouldn't oppose to putting on Nissan or Skyline badges because the G35 and the Skyline are almost identical to each other, so the JDM badges would suit the car pretty well. Many people think that putting on the Nissan badge is degrading the car and it makes you own something "cheap", this is totally not the case in my opinion. If anything I think the Infiniti badges and brand makes you think you own something more than a Nissan, In reality the G35 is basically the Nissan Skyline. But what about RHD and LHD?!? that's just nitpicking, LHD and RHD is just the way cars are made to conform to our roads and regulations, I can careless if it was LHD or RHD, besides who wants a RHD car when they have to go through a drive thru by themselves? I know I don't.
So in the end to each his own I guess, if it was me I wouldn't JDM badge it unless I got all the matching JDM stuff inside the car as well and if it was beastly enough to be called a Skyline.
