so i want to switch out the stock lights and get blue hids...do i just need to buy a new bulb or a whole new hid set up kit and what brands are good and come with a blue color option thanks guys!

 

i purchased the whole kit man,.. but i didnt even need to use the new ballast that came with em,.. ur stocks will do.

Just the bulbs, if you have 04's then D2R' is the bulb you will have to buy for it to plug and play, and work just like the stock bulbs.

 

I got 8k looks blue. 6K white not blue, 10k purple

 

any one know the part number for 04 g35c 6mt? and also where to get them?

alright thanks so much im tryin to decide over the violet or blue....on hids.com or whatever are those bulb high and low beam?

 

The xenons (HIDs) in the G35s are driving light only. The high/low (high beams and fog lights) are normal H4s. If you want to convert those to xenon, you'll have to add another ballast somehow, or buy one of those cheap kits unless you plan on spending some money doing a true xenon conversion.

As for doing a direct swap to bluer bulbs, it's easy... just change the bulb, and make sure you get D2R for reflectors or D2S for projectors (06+ coupes only). Some of the older 02-04 models might not have stock xenons, so make sure you know what you have on your car. Xenons will have a ballast bolted to the bottom of the headlight assembly, which you can see when you're changing out the bulbs.

 

go violet man,.. it looks sick,... the blue will look too close to stock

 

dont get blue or violet, makes your car's hids look cheap. Get 6k, or colormod your projectors lenses.

Do not go anything over 8k, it will look cheap and tacky.. Like a honda or something...

 

10K are basically the new 350z stock bulbs.
