dude, lol u r dumb, oil consumption, mayb ok, gear grinding, fine if its that bad, 1 blown out tire and u buy for sure but its not a break down stop burning out, clutch went out...umm before or after they replaced the tranny which they should have threw a new clutch with it, and fuel level missreads is not an indication of a bad fuel tank, its called a sending unit and why they would tell u u need a fuel tank is beond me wow, its ur own faul for letting them replace it and not question it. and what sensors i dont get it hope u had warranty cause if u paid out of ur pocket u should b talking to a lawyer
So wheres your problem at in here?
Sedan(30K) - rear brakes wearing out too fast, brakes pulsating, timing chain tensioner had to be replaced.
Coupe(50K) - driver window auto up sometimes/sometimes not, driver's seat moves sometimes on it's own.

Dumb? nice. Gear grinding happened bc a piece in my transmission fell apart and caused damage to the whole thing. I don't burn out my clutch.. clutch wears out hun. Ive only had clutch replaced once in coming up 30k+ miles. Fuel tank was just something I mention to the dealer since the car was already in and waiting for a new engine + tranny. And why wouldn't I let them replace it? Seems sort of stupid to turn down a free engine, tranny, etc. I had warrantty and I dropped by car off and picked it up pretty much brand new.

not trying to offend by any means, im more mad at the dealer cause they should know better. when they did ur tranny, they should have done the clutch, im sure there was nothing wrong with the actual fuel tank. pieces of transmission dont just fall apart so if people say that to you then they r taking u for a dummie, u should ask for specifics, transmission parts wear, unless u have like a 1000hp where u can snap stuff from too much power. tires isnt a breakdown. and now ur car isnt considered brand new because uve had all this work done its worth much less then what u paid for it. its just weird that i have a 6mt with 82 k miles on it and no oil consumption and no gear grinding and no clutch slipping and i like to open it up with a lil drifting action everytime i take a turn, but yet all these people including urself on here r replacing motors and trannies and fuel tanks(lol) at like 20 k miles, these motors were build to last 200k miles, why urs blew at 20k is beyond me, gotta b the driver

Wow, it does sound like you got a lemon - did you purchase new or used?
Since I've owned my car (purchased new) at the end of '04, I've had:
1. Fuel tank not filling up properly - Fuel sending unit replaced under TSB.
2. Car just died the first 6 months while driving on the highway, couldn't rev the rpms at all. - I believe the o2 sensor (or some sensor) was replaced, heard this was somewhat common on the pre-'05 models.
3. Sunroof had some strange lines in the tint - whole sunroof was replaced.
4. The Bose system will simply skip when attempting to play CDs until the interior cabin temperature is above a certain temperature. Dealer could not "duplicate" the problem, so this never got fixed under warranty, but I will probably be replacing the stock stereo in the near future anyway.
5. Dealership detailed the car during prep against my request and in doing so, attempted to hide the cluster guage damage they did to the clear acrylic lens. They used some product that effectively "etched" little lines all around the edges, but I didn't notice for a full 6 months because they had put so much Armor All on it to hide it. I replaced this myself (what a nightmare taking the whole steering assembly and cluster guage out!) Didn't pursue it because I bought the car and had it trucked in to Austin from a Houston dealership.
6. Had to have both windows motors replaced after 2 years. Are still working, keeping my fingers crossed.
7. Had to have both front seat bottoms replaced because the leather was beginning to tear along the outer edge of the seat.
8. All 4 of my OEM rims have black stains on them due to various chemicals eating through the finish. Common problem with all manufacturers who paint their rims. I'm getting aftermarket in the near future though.
9. Rattles, although I've been lucky to not have as many as some.
Things that happened outside of warranty:
1. Had a very bad experience with the so-called "professional" clear bra installer in town 2 days after I purchased my car. He decided that it was appropriate to "trim" the material after it was installed on my car and cut through into the acrylic headlights and painted surfaces on the front bumper, hood, and side front quarter panels. He reinstalled it a second time, was a little better, but not much.
2. Had to have dents removed from both the left and right rear quarter panel above the wheelwell due to jackasses leaning up against my car when parked downtown. (Yep leaning against the car in that area where it begins to curve will cause lovely dents). This has happened 3 times at a cost of approximately $75 a pop for PDR and complete removal of most of the trunk items to get to the dents.
3. Had a piece of 18-wheeler tire thrown up on my front grill and hood (completely unavoidable), both of which were cracked/dented and required replacement. Third clear bra installation by a different guy who did it in my garage (which sounded like a great idea at the time) but got cat hair stuck behind it.
4. Had a strange circular white spot begin to appear on the right rear portion of the outside roof area. Continued to get worse (almost looked like something was spilled and it had oxidized my paint) until I paid out of pocket to get it repaired.
5. Someone hit my right rear bumper while I was parked in my work parking lot. Required entire rear bumper replacement and repaint.
6. I have repeat scratches and scuffs on both driver's side and passenger side kick panels as well as scuffs on the inside door panels from service guys rushing to perform their work on my car. Happens EVERYTIME I take my car to the dealership to have work performed.
7. Birds absolutely love to **** on my car. No kidding. And in the TX heat, it only takes less than an hour for that to etch my paint.
Interestingly enough, this is the most expensive car I have ever owned, I have taken better care of her than any previous car, and I just seem to have horrible luck with her.

I've been very impressed with my G, as well as the service at my dealership. A few months ago, the CEL came on and according to the diag, it was all (2 or 3?) O2 sensors failing at the same time. So they just turned the light off. It came back on a week later, so they decided to replace all sorts of stuff. Apparently, the original owner had the O2 sensors replaced, so that really wasn't the problem.
Long story short, they replaced some sort of wiring harness, and while they had her open, they went through and replaced some gaskets and things in the engine. So hopefully that would address any future "oil consumption" issues that would arise in the future otherwise.
Other than that, I've had no problems, except sometimes shifting into 5th gear I get a quick grind. Bad syncro? Doesn't happen often, though.

Now both door locks are unresponsive. If this was any other car Id have traded it in by now. But since Ive put on the 20's and dropped her, once I start driving I forget all about the f'ing door locks.

My car has 59k thousand on it... not 20. I wish it had 20 tho. The oil consumption is a major problems w these cars and like 1/2 G's that I know got it sometimes before 80K. Its very common and its not something done by me.. that car has always been babied. I get oil changes every 2000 miles by local Infiniti dealer and the car only gets the best. My whole car has very extended warranty so Im not worried about anything that will break down. I just take it to the dealer and leave when its fixed. The dealer gave me **** for oil consumption but my service advisor was pretty awesome and got me few free things installed. Overall Im very happy with my G and its running like a dream right now with like 1000 miles on the engine + tranny. Things like clutch and tires are wear and tear and I've only replaced the clutch once since I've had the car. I dont do burnouts or drive my car hard at all. Every car is different and sometimes no matter how good you take care of it, something can go wrong.
93 miles or 93,000 miles?
