Oil change-Infiniti or Nissan dealership?

My 07 coupe just needs an oil change. All the other changes have been at the Infiniti dealer. Does anyone use their Nissan dealer instead? I assume it would be cheaper.

I know people who take their Infiniti's to the Nissan dealership, no difference in parts etc. Might or might not be a price difference (likely not IMO), but why not do it yourself?

Nissan dealer will do just fine as will Jiffy Lube or any other shop. It's just an oil change.

+1 for the DIY as SwivelHips suggested. It may not save you a ton of $ but I'd rather spend the $ on good oil and do the change myself.

I would rather get it done my self so I can put good oil also. But the main reason I'm going to have to do it at infiniti or nissan is for warranty reasons.

If something ever goes bad with my motor I don't want them to be all iffy about it because I won't have any records of oil changes at the dealer...

Does our service records show up at Infiniti for services done at Nissan? I'm pretty sure it does but not 100%?

Common Since will save you a bundle....!

If you need to have the dealership change your oil I suggest taking it to
Nissan. Believe me the prices are considerably cheaper. I checked on the
price of trans service, Infiniti $300 and Nissan $175. I asked the Infiniti
service mgr. why such a difference in price, his answer was "they use better
products".... I must have had "Stupid" written on my forehead that
day!

I change it myself, but would take my G's to my local Nissan over the Infiniti dealership, unless it's warranty work.

BTW, somebody mentioned Jiffy Lube...what kind of filters do they use??
I would steer clear of these places!!! Unless, you watch them do it....and check to make sure they get the plug in tight enough and don't cross thread it.
And, get the filter on tight enough.
But, if you do all this, you might as well do it your self!

I appreciate the responses about doing it myself, but that won't happen.
And I can't stand Jiffy Lube.
I'll check into my Nissan dealer. They're about a mile further than the Infiniti dealer from our house.

You don't need to go to an Infiniti dealer. There is a law that prohibits car manufacturers from voiding warranties if you go outside of dealership for service. If you do it yourself, keep the receipts. If there is ever a question about the oil you can get it analyzed quickly to see if it's old or not. If you do some searching on the site I'm sure you'll find a lot smarter people than me quoting the actual laws and such.
