Wow. I love the splash guards. And are you sure it didn't come with them from the factory? When I picked up my G it still had a lot of the protective taping on it, and it had splash guards installed.
In reply to:

Pretty sure as I purchased and installed them myself . If you go on Infiniti's website you'll see that the splash guards are a $200 option.... I guess the only way you can get splash guards is if either you picked one off the lot that had them on, or specifically requesting them when placing a custom order.

Re: Splash Guards

I wasn' t sure about them when I placed my order in Jan, but after getting the car in April I'm very glad I had them put on. For me I couldn't really tell how I liked them by pics but once I saw them on my car I am 100% glad I had them. They give it a more agressive line IMO. Without them to me the car's lower half is too plain IMO. I have a front lip yet to be installed as well. For me on a DG I think they show nicely.

Good luck deciding! You can't go wrong either way.....once you are in the car it doesn't make a damn bit of difference.

Re: Splash Guards

Thanks, everyone, but my original question was whether they could be removed without seeing any holes, etc. in the car. Anyone actually removed them? Or for people that installed them, was there anything permanent done to the body of the car?

Re: Splash Guards

Hey guys, speaking of the splash guards, how is the installation for those of you who did them afterwards on your own?

is the drilling simple?

Thanks any advice?

Re: Splash Guards

Front are easy, took me 20-30 mins to put on. I am going to assume less than that to take it off. I do not see an issue taking the fronts off, I think 3 screws on each side if I remember.

Back is a different story and I chose not to install it as it required some drilling.

Re: Splash Guards

Back ones take about teh same as the front AFTER you take the rear wheels off!!! Depending on your tools and if you have a floor jack, it could add at least another 30 minutes to jack it up on each side (only use 1 jack) do the install, clean the wheel while its off, clean the Brembos, yadda yadda lol, slap them back on! BTW, becareful using the stock lug wrench when removing wheels! The damn thing provides no leverage (I am assuming to avoid over torquing the lug nuts) and after my wheels being tightened by an air gun, you tend to use a lil force and may scratch the rim where the lug nuts sit.
Removal of both front and rear will leave open holes on the inside lip.
