So, I got an email back from the guy today... Its a scam, this guy is telling me to use wesern union to send him the money, even Ebay TELLS you NOT to use western union as they do not have fraud protection.... I recieved the following email today

buyer for this car - 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6 Speed Manual. The title is clear
and will come signed with the car in the shipping along with all the paperwork.
There are no other costs regarding our deal. The car is in execellent running
order, never been hard used and there are no flaws on it or any other mechanical
problems.

The next step is to give you the last details for finalizing this business under
the best conditions. If you are a first time user then you must go in person to
a Western Union agent (as eBay instructed you) from where you can send the
payment. If you can't find a agent location near you, please send us your
address and we will search it for you . Since we will support the shipping costs
you will support the money transfer commission. You will receive the car only
after the wire transfer is sent to Cincinnati. As you have been instructed by
eBay, you have to send us only the first 25% of the total amount of $9,000,

Got the same message...also of note is the fact that the item number of the auction has disappeared even though it still seems to be from ebay. furthermore, the address has become ebayus.com rather than just ebay.com

I wonder who the person is that we need to send checks to. Someone should bust him.

 

It's probably not "Mr. Tommy Karasotiz"

I tried Yahoo People Search on the entire USA for the last name Karasotiz and got nothing. I then Google searched the web for "Karasotiz" and got likewise. It's apparently not only not his name, it's not anyone's name, or anything whatsoever, anywhere.

 

Someone went to a Keresotes theatre and decided to hijack the name?

ITS A SCAM. nuff sed. NEVER pay for any ebay or any internet order through western union...you will get ripped off. If you think otherwise, you deserve to get taken for a ride to make you realize if something is too good to be true, it is! I have a great deal of experience with online security in terms of ordering. Don't do it.

i got the same email as the two of you. it states thay i am the only person who is approved, but that is B.S. i got another email stating that i can come and see the car, its in a warehouse in ohio. did anyone get that?

 

someone ask him if you can purchase the car in person....lol...and tell this person that your occupation is a detective

 

Just so people know...When a person asks you to send the "money transfer control number" to them, that means they are definitely trying to scam you. The MTCN is all you need to pick up the MO from western union. In most cases, they will not need to check ID if you have that number.

Why would they need that number if they are in fact who they say they are? They wouldn't. They would normally show ID and pick up the check. The MTCN is key to the whole scam. Without that, they can't claim the money since they are using a fake name.

Just a heads up to those who may not know about the importance of the MTCN. Be careful with future transactions that state information like this.

In any case, this is clearly a scam and i'm sure no one disagrees. Pretty sad imo to see people stoop this low on the internet. Someone should bust him..
