Your Performance Mods

So I was originally going to get some new wheels but i'm taking some peoples advice and going to put it for performance instead. Now my question is what is the most power for the money. I want to get a cold air intake or dual intake system from stillen, but i have a 2004 g35 so i'm not sure if it will fit.

My question is what are some of the best(power and reliability) for the money. What are some of your mods and how much power did it add and how much did it cost.

Dual intake won't fit a 04 (single throttle body)... so best bang for the buck would be the spacer... but the search button is going to be your friend on this one.

Get a 5/16 spacer and call it a day. Intakes are mainly for sound enhancement, and exhausts are arguably the same, though you may get +5hp, which you won't feel. Money is better spent on suspension/handling mods, unless you go FI.

Questions, answers and incorrect opinions....!

Answering questions and helping fellow members is why we're here, sending
them to use the SEARCH isn't always the answer.... The opinion
about aftermarket exhaust was wrong, back in '05 several mags did dyno
tests on various systems and found gains in HP were 16 just a few below what
manufactures like Stillen claimed. So if you combine MotorDynes spacer ISO
with a good dual aftermarket exhaust the gains are worthwhile. Togeather
with a K&N drop in filter and Z tube and you've maxed out the bolt on mods
for performance....!

I personally would go with wheels over performance parts. You aren't gonna see any real substantial gains with bolt ons for the cost. But MD spacer and a nice exhaust will give it nice sound and a little extra power

it depends on what your were going to spend on wheels...for about 5-6k you can pic up a used tt kit off here, maybe a single T kit alittle cheaper...youd be good for about 350-380whp with stock internals..its worth the $ imo

Thanks, what about cold air? I'm thinking about getting one from stillen but i'm not sure if i should go with normal or cold. So far i'm going to order the spacer and still thinking about what exhaust. Any suggestions for exhaust and intake?

just you sayin you thought about buying the dual intakes on your 04 means you need to learn more about your car and research a tad.
