So I just had my two belts changed at the nissan dealer last week. A few days ago I noticed when I turn on my car or start moving from a stop a screeching/screaming sound comes from the front and today I noticed this burnt rubber like smell. Do you guys know what this is from? Does it have to do with the belts being replaced? Thanks!

 

Definatly sounds like a belt problem, take it back to the dealer and let them know whats going on. Sounds like the belts dont have the proper tension.

Hi everyone. I dont really post on the site, i just read a lot. That screeching sound is definitely your belt. I had the same problem. They did not adjust the tension properly. Hope you can get that fixed soon. I hated that sound.

 

So much for taking it to a dealer for peace of mind!
