Trading in for 2010 Camaro SS
^ True, but you dont buy a G expecting it to run 12s either. If I spend 35K on a legend of an american muscle car, I would expect it to be more than .6 of a difference in a 1/4 mile time. 2003 G35-14.2 2010SS-13.6
ionno if anyone suggested this yet... but have you thought about a used C6? that'd be the obvious answer for me. pricing is in the high $20's for 05 6-speeds that are 800lbs lighter with better handling/gas mileage and with just as much HP potential as the camaro.
My info could be wrong though
I work at a Chevy dealer and there are currently no plans to end production of the Camaro early. The job one date was moved back one month to March 18 because a supplier of interior parts went out of business. There has been a lot of interest and early orders for these cars so Chevrolet is counting on selling quite a few. There have also been very recent spy photos of the Camaro convertible testing in Australia so that would lead me to believe that Chevrolet has every intention of continuing with their current production plans.
It was a trade-in on an Avalanche so I bought it from where I work, otherwise I would be catching crap like you wouldn't believe! I get a lot of compliments on the car from most of the people here because I only drive it work to clean it, so it's always nice and shiny when they see it. The G Coupes are also kind of rare around here, not like in SoCal where they are apparently all over the place!
