My first car was a 1986 Camaro. I also owned a 2000 Corvette. I'd love one of the new Camaros. That said I'm very happy with Infiniti and my G35c.

The Camaro is going to be a really nice car, but i heard that they were actually stopping the production of the car. I might be wrong though.

With the automakers in so much trouble (like Chevy), they'll probably give you another one free.

Seeing as how the car you're considering isn't even out yet, I'd say this thread has no point.

I wouldnt plan on buying anything american right now with their economic standing right now.

Besides, with most american cars, its always the interior quality that pushes me towards imports instead.

Yes, this is true, yet right now they are accepting pre order's and are selling at MSRP. So this is the perfect time to buy if im going to... I will agree the interiors always seem soo cheap on these americans, but it just looks so incredibly futuristic and funky haah.. Thanks for the input guys!!

How do you figure this is the best time to buy if they are selling at MSRP???? Most people TRY to get a good deal on a car and NOT pay MSRP.

I don't know all the details on the new Camaro... but V8 torque is real fun. I'm sure that car will have a bunch of problems at first when it comes out.. not unlike any other car, but most likely to a higher degree than your typical new Japanese model in it's first year of production.

Since we're talking American cars here.... that new Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8 are damn good looking cars and you can actually get them with a V8 and 6-speed manual combination. I've seen a few drive by in person and they always turn my head... but I heard they are very heavy cars and not as fast as you would think considering the power put out by the drivetrain. I'm sure they're still a blast to drive though for typical street cruising and looking good along the way.

The V6 is a good bargain if it it comes with a good 6-spd trans (not sure), otherwise get the V8!
