05 5AT -- I want 300hp
I went out looking for a G35 coupe and after test driving both models I decided on a 2005 Sport/Premium package... 5AT over the 6MT, because this car will be used mostly as a daily driver. In my pre-buying research, however, I overlooked the fact that the 5AT only has 280 flywheel hp to the 298 of the 6MT. Even though this will be a daily driver I would like a little extra kick for mountain driving etc...So I was wondering if I could get up to around 300 fwhp with bolt-on mods. I know that is a pretty big stretch for bolt-ons for most cars, but I don't want to tamper with my car's reliability with forced induction or major internal mods, I have my Mustang for that. Also, where is a good place to look for chips/reflash? There isn't a reliable import tuning shop anywhere near me.
And yes I know there is a search button but out of the 20+ pages of results I can't find a clear answer to this specific question.

I'll definitely consider that, I am a big fan of boost...I noticed you went with an S/C setup, how is it working for you? I have a kenne bell 2.8l on the stang and it does a fantastic job. Did you do all the work yourself, and if so was it difficult? What is a good site to check out FI setups? and if its not recommened as a DIY project, do you know of any good tuning shops in the southeast? Sorry for all the questions but I am brand new at G35 modding and import modding altogether.

so far its been working out very well..there was some problems in the begining, but procharger took care of bussiness...seems i had a bad blower and it caused abunch of problems..i have the kit for about 16months...if i had to do it all over again id probably go turbo..only good thing about SC no boost lag..i had it installed in a shop in IN i wouldnt reccommend going there(exotic performance plus) owner is a real d ick. if you decide on diy procharger comes with very detialed install guide..i could have saved myself about 2500.00 and did it myself..as for tuning shops i would google, but "word of ear" is the best way to go..just ask around southeast section

I'm assuming you mean 220 at the wheels? I'm not looking for 300 at the rear wheels, I just want as close as I can get at the flywheel. Basically I want the same hp as a stock 6MT. I know its not shooting for much but with a 630 rwhp Mustang in my garage I have plenty of horsepower in my life. Once again this will be my daily driver and reliability is a huge factor.
