I used to fill it at 1/4 but now I wait till it gets to E and I still have a couple gallons left and I've never run out of gas.
I dunno about that not letting it get past 1/4 because of junk in the tank thing either because if there is junk it would settle to the bottom where the gas is at and you'd suck it up every time you let your car sit for a little bit.

Seeing **** scares me enough to make me head straight for a gas station...
For a while I had some problem where it would go on when I had at least 5-6 gallons left....but that finally got fixed so now i'm guessing its more like 1-2. I never let it get that low though. I think my fuel light has only been on a small handful of times since I got the car.

This whole thing reminds me of clarkson and that turbodiesel jag he drove that kept going and going despite being on empty haha.
I always thought it was a good thing to run out the gas... so you'll never have old gas sitting around on the bottom of the tank?
I just put on my favorite MP3 track on my CD and keep on driving... My dash says the same thing that I believe "FVCK OIL" =D always get my friends questioning me with that one

Its all fluid and it gets sloshed around every time you turn, brake, accelerate etc I don't think there would be much old gas in there, is not like the old gas and the new gas become separate or something, unless there's some law of physics I'm ignoring?

Only if you actually run out of fuel, because the in tank pump uses the gasoline to keep it lubricated and cool.
