Exhaust

whats up, im lookin into purchasing an exhaust system for my 04 coupe, just having trouble looking for one that will have almost exact sound as the stock sound. i love the sound and i really just am looking for a system that will be louder but very simular to the original. also planning on later on in the summer to twin turbo it. if anyone can help it would be really appriciated.

fast intentions exhaust for sure.

i got it a couple months ago and i love the sound. It sounds like stock but a little bit lower. The only problem with the exhaust is that to really get the full sound out of it you would have to get either some High Flow Cats or Test Pipes because without one of them the exhaust doesnt seem much different than stock

borla exhaust sounds close to stock, just a little louder. I'm personally not a fan of HKS exhaust but many people are. I was also looking at exhausts last week and its a matter of oppinion. I suggest go on youtube and search different exhausts and hear what you like. heres a link to the borla exhaust

Yeah I wouldn't suggest fast intentions if you want a quiet exhaust...

Stillen or NISMO would be your best bet. Or just put some HFCs or test pipes on with the stock exhaust.

Not to sound rude but have you done any research at all? There are plenty of threads on this topic.

Fast Intentions or Stillen

This is almost funny, only one member mentioned doing a SEARCH it must be the hour normally you'd get just for
asking the questions you did. All right then, since you intend to go TT and
no matter what exhaust you chose it won't sound like OEM your best
bet would be Stillens true-dual system. With TT your concern should be
flow not necessarily sound. If you're building the motor along with the TT
it might be smart to wait and have a custom 3" system designed to get
the max out of your build. Lots of choices.

I just got a quote for $1,050 from a local place that does Mustangs. It was for galvanized steel, 3" all the way from the TN connection, new 3" in/out muffler, choice of tips, etc. Pretty good deal. I also got two quotes for SS systems, full 3", for only a few hundred more. You could choose about any muffler you want then. I had a three pass, 3" muffler on my turbo Integra, and it was a totally tame sound until you got on it. Any system will be way quieter once you've got the turbos on.
