I didn't read all the replies, but you don't have to tell your parents. Warnings don't mean anything & just go to court and show the state prosecuter your insurance card (valid) and then you'll be free to go, won't even have to talk to the judge nor have to sit in traffic court for 3 hours.

I thought this was gonna be a story about a totaled G, so in comparison this is definitely not the worst way to end a Friday.

 

In Illinois, it's illegal to have any tint whatsoever on the driver's side & passenger side windows, and the windshield. You can only have it on the rear window and non-passenger side windows.

So if the tint you speak of is on any of those windows, it doesn't matter what the percentage is, it's simply illegal in Illinois.

I also live in Illinois. While I don't like many of their rules, I do like the fact that if you get pulled over for speeding, as long as you don't have any priors in the last 12 months, you just mail the fine in and get court supervision. No classes, no court dates. They just want our money.

You're right about GA. The state overturned the law about tint as unconstitutional. Don't be surprised if a new one comes up. Basically, it was found unconstitutional because it applied only to in-state drivers with in-state tags. They could come up with a new one that would apply to everyone, but I'm not sure how that would work.

ahh.. okay, i didnt get the entire story. sounds good, hopefully people will jump on the bandwagon. tint laws are silly.

we have "withholding adjutification" in florida as well.. it is nice to be able to send a ticket in and just pay a fine, one good rule is better than none i guess.
