opinions on what to do

So bought my car and few days later needed a clutch and flywheel. I ordered the parts and had them installed by an infiniti dealership. come to find out the parts were not the correct ones. so the retailed finally sent correct parts to the dealership. Not sure if the car is done yet or not but i accrued $600 labor for the first installation and another $600 for the correct parts. do i try and get the retail to reimburse me for the lose or am i stuck with the loss?

Not many options....!

Your first mistake was going to an Infiniti Stealership, an independent shop
would have been much more reasonable. The aftermarket isn't big on paying
for their mistakes, probably won't happen. There attitude is generally, "the
mechanic should have realized the issue when installing!" Sounds like a funky
excuse and it is, sometimes you gotta bite the bullet. I hate to say it but
this is one of those live and learn situations, you'll never make this mistake
again!

If it was the dealer who had ordered the parts and installed them, then I'm sure they'd fix their own mistake. In this case (if I understand correctly) you ordered the incorrect parts, there's no reason the dealership should eat that additional labor expense.

As Gary said, it's unfortunate but a lesson I'm sure you won't forget.

i ordered a jwt clutch and flywheel from concept performance via the link in the vendors forums. the link takes me directly to the site and item in my cart. i paid and they shipped it to me. took it to the dealer to install (dealer is where my car was at to find out what was wrong since still under warranty and didn't want it towed somewhere else) they installed it didn't work. the items sent were not the correct ones. the retail admitted they sent the wrong ones and sent the correct ones. this is after the installation of the wrong ones.
