Has anyone considered this? I never use the key to open the door anyway, and I thought this would give me a cleaner look. This would eliminate the keyhole on the drivers side door handle. I know Im screwed if the battery in my remote dies... but Im willing to take that chance. What do you guys think?

According to g4s the part is around $15 shipped (you don't actually need a whole handle, just the little clip). Here are the part #'s

I am actually looking into getting a new driver side door handle though because I have what looks like a popped blister of paint the handle. Rather than touch it up I think I may just replace it.

Thought of capping the drivers side door also, but with my luck I'd get the fob wet and would have no way of getting in my car.

 

yeah i was thinking of doing this also,actually i was thinking of getting rid of the door handles completly.i think it would make the lines of the g even more smooth.what do you think?

just checked the thread in nates reply and it seems like an easy mod. Placed an order for the part at my local infiniti and will try to get it done over the weekend.

Where are you buying this part from for $15? The dealers around here are quoting over $22.

dont laugh but - if u do the total door handly removal - how the hell do u open the door once its unlocked lol? i was always confused with that?

I can't find the part on Grubbs online, I guess I'll give them a call.

djnooch - The cars I've seen that have no door handles get a special key fob that has a button on it that when pressed electronically pops open the door a few inches... I'm not sure what other ways there are.
