In some things you definitely get what you pay for. I bought some of the aftermarket clear corners on eBay back during the summer when I first got my car. Figured "they look about like the JDM ones, and cost 1/4 as much, what can go wrong?"

Well, it always bugged me that they didn't fit quite flush against the bumper so I decided to swap back to the amber ones to see if they did. Tried to pop them out and the lens comes off. In the process of getting the rest of the corner out the back part breaks into about 41 different pieces.

So, I ordered the JDM ones yesterday from Riverside Infiniti.

I just hope someone sees this post and it steers them away from the eBay ones, haha!

I've found that to be true with most car parts. The cheap knockoffs always have fitment issues and are a pain to install.

 

LESSON LEARNED.

I bought some smoked corners off of ebay when I first got my car. They Fit fine and looked great but the first week of having them they started to fog up. Cheap quality. Anyways got the jdm clears now from nissan and they are fine.

 

Ebay = **** quality.

 

aww man i jut got my car and got the smoked corners off ebay. i did this because im just going to have the tint shop black them out along with the rest of my lights ontop of the 15% tint. the fitment is fine. and i wont notice them fogging up sence there blacked out so hopefully they will be fine.

 

Any time you buy anything on ebay you're taking a chance, sure it may
look like you're saving 50% but what are you really buying (like Andy mentioned) ****! I'm sitting here right now looking at an add from ebay, they're showing an exhaust system for $519.99 it's an exact copy of the
HKS system. Looks like a great deal, is it the same quality as HKS....NO WAY!

i bought some headlights off of ebay a couple of months ago and one of them leaked. Had to buy another pair. F ebay

 

I havnt had any problems with my HKS replica exhaust from ebay after having it for about a year, and my clear corners from ebay look and work great. Maybe i've just gotten extremely lucky but just know that not everything from that site has to be ****. Yes a lot of it is trash or cheap product, you just have to have the brains to know what and who to buy from on there...
