squeaking sunroof....wth
Ok, so I've gotten about 10k on my car, and somewhere around 10k I've noticed that the sunroof is starting to squeak when I go over bumps or up a ramp (to a parking lot or something). I've tried pushing the sunroof with my hand to see if its loose (while its closed) and it makes that squeaking noise. Does our warranty cover this? Anyone have similar problems? I'm just worried that even if i DO get it fixed the problem would reoccur...thanx

Go here, if this is the problem you are having, print the document out and take it to your dealer. They should fix it for free.

i autthored a fix for this, when my FX began to do the same (suspect its partially caused by constant over-waxing, but still.....)

I got a new sunroof and it came back in 2 weeks. The 3m spray will last a week and the dealer will get it all over the place.

its what BMW uses on their convertible seals. It works. You can get it at your local BMW place, but it will cost $17. Autopia is cheap and ships quickly

Buy a tube of Gummi Pfledge from your local BMW dealer. It is the original and cost me $7.50. It is made for BMW and even has the BMW logo on it. Use your fingers to spread it and not the applicator because the applicator misses a few spots.
