RPMS at Idle
RPMS at Idle
What rpms should I be at when my car is in neutral, and gas is pressed.
Today the Rpms droped to like 2-3 hundred rpms, and I know all my previous cars idled from 700-1000. The car only has 100 miles on it.

Well, if the gas is pressed, I suppose it could be anywhere from 1000 to 6500...
700-900 is about right. 1200 or so if it's cold out and the engine is trying to warm up. Dropping to 2-300 seems strange. If it does it again, you might want to call your local Infiniti service dept. and ask them about it.

Re: RPMS at Idle
Yes, its a mistake the reading is from 500 and up
so it was actually around 700 idling
hehe
it was early in the morning today, so I was very sleepy and didn't pay that close attention.

Just got mine from (Guy) InSaNeAmine and will install it tomorrow. Up to now my idle has been about 700-725 when warmed. Sounds like it'll go down slightly with the kit.

Re: RPMS at Idle
Manual Tranny...engine at operating temperature...mines 250 rpm on the button. Thats why with a good launch you have to get those RPM's up to around 12 - 15. That first gear is so quick it's scary.
