I was gonna get a hks exhaust and mrev w/ spacer, ztube, k&n drop in but im thinkin once i do the build that stuff would have just been a waste of money... plz help im lookin to do at least a little something now car just feels slow guess i got used to it... oh yea this is on 04 coupe sport package
you might as well leave the engine stock and just upgrade the suspension
get some nice coilovers, gt spec front & rear tie bar, sway bars.
Also some nice wheels would be nice too

thanks this is kinda what i was thinking also... although i don't know about coils cuz the car already has neg camber issues (i have some 20's already) and with stock suspension wears tires like crazy. I wanna switch the 20's for some volk gtr's 9.5/10.5 +17/+18 with 10mm spacers in the front and 15mm in the rear to make the ovearall offset +7 and +3 i hope that's aggressive enough for me. what do you suggest to keep my camber in check??? I know i will need front and rear camber kits and rear toe adjusters but i think i probably won't be able to get it back into spec.

Hey im new to the forum and wanted to get some opinions on the 5/16'' spacers. Ive done my homework on them and as of right now i think im going with the thermal one but i wanted to see what you guys are using and what you would recommend. Also has anyone run into problems with the throttle body freezing with basic spacer?

I have the thermal collector (block to plenum) and the throttle body thermal (copper) spacers on mine. I just felt that the extra heat reduction, cost and time to install while I was at it was a good thing. Never can go wrong reducing heat being transferred to the intake air flow.

if ur getting new coils, 500 is too low for any quality. bite the bullet and spend the extra on suspension. tein makes good ones, and i have BC which i love

i was going to get those wheels. they look tight. im thinking of lowering my car too cuz i just got a set up 20" and right now it looks like a 4x4

i was asking around if i should go with springs or the whole shebang and most have said springs are decent if you are on a budget. maybe extra wear on the tires but nothing damaging.

if you were to look at springs.. i've heard s-techs are good. gives you 1"-1.5" drop. dont get h-techs. too small a drop (.3") to notice. i believe they are relatively the same price too.

With your mods you'll benefit more from a tune... Look into Osiris--www.uprev.com-- you won't regret it. You're probably running lean with all the breather mods, and Nissan programs the ECU to run really rich at the upper RPMs for "safety"... Get that fixed and it will feel like a brand new ride!

I was seriously contemplating the underdrive pulleys a few months ago but after researching and talking to a bunch of people (there are some monster threads on my350z.com) I realized that there just wasn't any real evidence that they do any good, and can even hurt your motor.

My .02 is: Get a tune and tint for around $1000 and call it a day

The best option is to have one of their protuners real time dyno tune it-- http://www.uprev.com/dealers.php

If none are nearby (I drove 160 miles to get mine done) then you can buy Osiris standard online. You get a very basic tune up front to get you going, then after you data-log a few runs with the included Cipher you email the data back to them and they make a custom tune for you, which you upload to your ECU.

Their software overwrites the factory ECU and runs in the background so you never have to remove it and your car is always operational.

You get several different maps (like stock tune, high performance, maximum fuel economy, etc) that you can switch instantly using the cruise control buttons. So the dealer will never know that you messed with it if you have to go in for warranty work

I am so jealous They do good work.
With a custom tune it'll be around 700 plus tax (if applicable)
You'll notice a big difference in driveability. A lot smoother, more responsive, and a lot more torque. You'll also get better gas mileage

You're rockin a rev-up right? If you don't have an MREV2 get one of those too and call it good for go-fast mods. Unless you decide to boost
