When will the G35C have "full" power seats

Like the ones used by BMW (3-series), Mercedes (C-Class), Audi (A4). The power adjustment on the passenger side seat of the G35c is a joke. The last time I checked, the drivers seat on the G35c had no power adjustments to recline. Is this still true? If it is, then the passenger side seat of a BMW 3-series has more power adjustments than the Drivers side seat of the G35c. I guess Infiniti had to save money somewhere. I thought that the G35 was supposed to be about luxury/sport. The G35c seats are comfortable and supportive but they are seriously lacking in the power adjustments department. Especially when you compare the G35 to its competition.

Shell out another 5-6 grand for the Bmw so you can get the power adjustments that you want, but sacrifice the power and looks of the G, well not worth it to me.

Re: When will the G35C have "full" power seats

The G35 is about sport/luxury, not luxury/sport. And it's $7,000 less than a comparably equipped 330. So, yes, they had to cut some corners somewhere. The sedan has more power in it's seats than the coupe, but it still falls short of the 12-way power sport seats available in a bimmer. But then, a bimmer doesn't come with an in-dash 6-disc changer, and if you want the Nav system, you can't get a even a single-disc player in the dash, they force a cassette deck on you. So, nobody's perfect.

suggest it to infinit, I'm sure they can address something like that in the coming models. For me - it's a very minor nusance.

By the way, do they have memory seats.
I didn't notice it when I test drove one, but I saw them mentioned it on freshallow.com. Is that true?

Re: When will the G35C have "full" power seats

The drivers side seat has a power "tilt" function which can recline the seat. But the seat back does require the use of motor skills to reeeeaaaachhhh back all way and recline the seat back. I think the G35 is a far superior vehicle in most categories to the 3 series and the seats are very comfy even comapred to the M3 I have sat in. But I guess some poeple just want a reason to whine and a reason to pay $6,000 more. That's why the site is called "G35DRIVER" and not "G35WHINER". But I'll be sure to give you a nod in my rear view mirror while your adjust the seat in your 3 series. He He.

Yeh, One thing I miss about the Sedan is the more comprehensive power seat and memory. Guess you can't have everything. Nissan will put them on the Coupe someday soon I'm sure, but the price will go up too.

Re: When will the G35C have "full" power seats

I think the reason the revline isn't powered is because a powered recline would make pulling forward the seat (for rear occupants) a much slower process. I doubt they took it out for cost reasons - it wouldn't cost them much at all to put in.

I personally like the unpowered recline, it makes the adjustment much faster than waiting for an electrical motor to sloooowly recline the seat forward and backwards.

Re: When will the G35C have "full" power seats

I've never understood the attraction of power seats, unless you have multiple drivers and want memory seats. I set the seat where I want it and it never moves again for the lifespan of the car. What do I need that extra mechanical stuff and motors for? I also dislike the "power" aspect to accessing the rear seats. It'd be much faster and less expensive to slide the seat forward myself, then just slide it back where it was originally. Power windows: good. Power locks: good. Power seats? I flip the trunk passthrough up and down more often than I adjust the seats, and that ain't powered. Powered cupholders would be more useful.

Re: When will the G35C have "full" power seats

Hell I thought since my G35 was a "luxury" car that I would get more as well... I was really disappointed when it didn't come with any of the models in the G35 coupe brochure. Especially the one standing by the foot of the bed... drool... she's hot... but I'm all for the powered cup holders...

Re: When will the G35C have "full" power seats

If the G35 doesn't have it, then it doesn't need it. That's the message I get here. I guess the last thing I would expect here is acknowledgement that the G35 is lacking in certain areas.
Hey guys, NO CAR IS PERFECT. Not even your beloved G35c. All cars have flaws.

The G35c seats dont even have height adjustments, manual or otherwise. I guess its one size fits all.

The G35 Coupe is a very sweet car. What baffles me is the attitude of some posters on this forum. There are people on this forum that would like to believe that the G35c is the best car in the world at any price. Just because you own it, doesnt make the car better than something you dont own.

I still may purchase the G35 Coupe but there are things that can be improved on. Too bad most of the folks here can't see that.

Also, the price difference between the 330i and the G35 Coupe is closer than $6K-7K. A fully loaded G35 Coupe list for around $38,000 (kbb). A fully loaded 330ci list for around $43K. Is it worth $5000 more? I dont know. But 5k is less than 7K.
Also, The 325ci has full power seats and it costs less than the G35c.

No, we're just saying that slight little thing is very very minor in the detarmination of what car you should buy. Of course the G35 has flaws, every car does! What you were complaining about, however, is an extremely minor thing.
