I have a 2004.5 coupe, and I just went into the garage to test. And the xenons turned on with the brights... Maybe they broke it again midyear <IMG src="http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif"/>

Haha.. Also brings up the point that if you flip through the damn AUTO function your Xenon's flash too.

Not to mention all the bulbs are pretty ugly in the car. The high beams / fogs, clearance strip are all a hideous yellow. The xenon hids are decent at best.

I have an 04' as well, and my xenons are used when flashing the high beams.

Re: Did U Know Ur Lights Do This...

i hope you all know that our hid system is designed and supposed to out last the life of our car. i dont know why you are making such a big deal about " flashing " if you want to preserve everything cool about the, why even drive it? why driving it you are putting wear and tear on the motor which in turn decreases the performance overtime.

the point is... you don;t need to wory about the bulbs going bad.. unless you do something retarded like mess with the system or housings

because with every cycle, there is a small amount of wear on the electrodes. While the lifetime is 'the life of the car', repeated flashing will cause the salts to breakdown and your HIDs will look alittle reddish.

Everybody knows not to flash fluorescent lights. HIDs have ballasts as well, and they dont like flashing any more than fluorescent lights.

just dont high beam at daytime cuz theres no point anyhow. honk if you have to. it's only necessary to high beam at nites anyway.

that reminds me, i shud turn off the auto on-off head lights. it always turns on when i'm in the garage and shuts off rite away when i get out.......
