I got reckless driving in excess of 90 in a 55 yesterday. Before some of you get motherly, yes, I know it was dumb, but it was on a deserted state highway on the edge of town. The cop was an old detective that hadnt done speeding tickets in a long time and made some big mistakes on the form, so Im hoping I can get it reduced on technicalities. What is the worst you guys have ever gotten and how did it turn out?

i was in the middle of no where in calabasas at 6am when i was 17 . i was going about 90 mph in a 45 when a cop came outta no where. He was really cool and told me he would have let me go but i was just going way too fast. He put down 65 in a 45. Saved my *** big time.

105 in a 55........that didnt help my insurance out too much...

Two carpool tickets (different times.).

Let me explain.
First ticket was when we had that earthquake about 10-13 years ago when part of the 10 collapsed. I went to Fry's to pick up my Hard Drive in Manhattan Beach, CA (never been there) and notice people were exiting the freeway and others where moving to the carpool lane. I moved to the carpool lane then after a mile noticed about 20 motorcycle cops parked on the freeway. They wave me over and I got a ticket. $280 I think.

Last month, I was carpooling for the first time to work. I get on the HOV lane on the 10 freeway and get pulled over. I was hell I have more than 2 people with me, what did I do wrong....quickly rolling down my windows to hide my tint etc. Well it appears on the 10 HOV lane you need more than 3 people between 6am to 9am. Ticket was $360.

Got upset later and soon bought a bike. Now I can ride in the HOV lane all I want!!

110 in a 55, wreckless driving, unsafe lane change, no signal while changing lanes ( not the same thing as unsafe lane change) and running a "steady red light".

My trial is this Tuesday and next Thursday....or in other words, this is my last week with a license and a decently low insurance rate.

Sucks.

Jesterev. get yourself a lawyer, bro. For sure he'll be able to lower the penalties for you.

My worst was 74 in a 40 in residential, but back then it only cost $1 per mile per hour over, but 6 points. Only had one other since - on my GS1100E Suzuki.(65 in a 50)
Relatively speaking, I've been very lucky over the years, and oh yeh, it helped to know most of the cops here since the FD worked closely with the PD. [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

My worst was 93 in a 75 back in Texas. Got it from an East Texas Hwy Patrol cop. Glad I was able to take defensive driving to get that off my record quick!

JesterV LOL, you werent going "fast" or anything!! Haha man, I do feel bad for you, get a good good lawyer and you'll get out of it. Money is no option if your license will be taken away!! Find one quick. My worst was an 85 in a 55, went to court cop didnt show, name wasnt on court date list and havent gotten anything on it from me pleading not guilty yet and its been over 2 months. It prob got thrown out. Good luck wit yours!!

i was on highway 5, on the way to LA
i wanted to see how fast can the G go, so...yah
the ticket was 880, and it was 2 points
but its okay because i was driving 150 30secs before the cop pulls me over ahahahah

 

My worst ticket was when I was driving my mom's 2003 I35 and pulled up to a 2004 Accord coupe at a light, raced him and lost and got a street racing ticket (the cop put highway racing). The accord got away that sucked even more that I lost the race and got a big fat ticket. Took it to my friend's laywer and took care of it for $200. not bad
