Location of fire extinguisher *56K Warn*

Is there any reason I shouldn't mount my fire extinguisher on the drivers side sill? I am going to throw a guard over the nozzle, just to keep debre out, but otherwise, I don't see why its not a good place. Seat can still come foward, I can get in and out just fine. Is there anything I am missing?

Why is there a 56K warning with one photo? lol

I mean... you can put it there but, it's in a higher traffic area and you risk running your foot into it when entering and exiting the vehicle....

Every time you enter your car you'll have to step over your fire extinguisher,
how many times are you going to kick it? It's a good idea to carry one but I'd
secure it in the trunk, it's out of the way and readily available....or if you
really want it inside the cabin secure it to the backside of your console
where it would be out of your way....you don't really want to trip over that
damn thing....

When was the last time you saw a G35 that caught on fire??

If it was such a threat I think Infiniti would of put one in the trunk instead of a first aid kit with a tampon!

What other cars do you see one in? Civics..???

i don't see it in any car

sure, it is a little over the top but being safe is not rice. period. if your going to bash on someone, then do it to someone who deserves it

back on topic, i would agree with others by putting at the passenger side floor beside the center console, passenger side has way more room

Put it where the Porsches do, line it up right infront of your seat.

I'd be carefull where to put it. It can hurt at side crush. Why not just get a smaller one. That thing is huge. Try this one.

But watch out maybe the cop will think it is a granade.

How is that mounted and how secure are the straps holding the canister? Only reason I ask is because if that thing comes loose it can roll around and potentially get under the pedals, or at the very least be rolling around at your feet. Just seems like there's a lot of better places to mount it that are out of the way, but still easy to get to in case of an emergency.

I thought that at first, but since he's blown that's another story, although it would make more sense if he was running n2o.
Now having unpainted carbon fiber, that's another story.

Wow. Are you a ****ing retard?

The OP's car is supercharged and heavily modded. Although a fire is still an off-chance, it is much more likely with a boosted application. A highly respected member with one of the sickest cars on her lost her TT G in a fire, and some other members with boost have had fires where a fire extinguisher has saved their car. Now explain to me how having a small canister in your car that could save the entire thing constitutes as rice.

And why would a Civic have a fire extinguisher.

****ing Dumbass.

Ha on a lighter note, OP, I wouldn't put it there. Too much traffic and near pedals, etc. Depending on how many people sit in the backseat, I would mount it to the floor somewhere in the back, behind the drivers seat. I would definitely keep it in the cabin.
