Lost to a 6MT

Re: Lost to a 6MT
yes chirping gears is bad for the car.... it is also a sign of a good shift when racing. Well... a GOOD chirp is good. My friend who taught me how to drive stick actually drove my car and i let him chirp one gear in it and i could feel it pull pretty hard compared to when i do it. (he's been driving stick in his dad's m5 since he was 14 and now that he's almost 17 and in an m3... he has some preety good experience). He did put his m3 into a tree last weekend tho lol (not his fault really)

Re: Lost to a 6MT
good god my dad went nuts when we were test driving my car. he used to have a 911 and now drive a yukon. I guess that he misses the sporty ride and decided that he needed to get something outa his system. He redlined thruogh 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th chirping in between all 3 shifts when this car had about 40 miles on it. I wa sjust like... WOW SOMEBODY is never driving my car when i get it... lol
