eh, thats a hard one. My eye doctor hooks me up because ive been going to him since i was a little kid. I already tried getting one for a buddy of mine and no luck on that. i guess its a hit or miss with eye doctors. LIMO is the way to go! nothing better than knowing noone can see you, nor what you have in your car. Ill be honest though, it took me a few weeks to get used to them.

What did your eye docter right on your prescription? I went and he said there's no "pathology" for writing a prescription for window tints so he gave me a prescription for stage 4 sunglasses which he said is the darkest you can get.... thing that'll fly with boys in blue?

i wrote what mine said in a post above in this thread. but it says " "my name" has corneal and retinal detachment, he is required to have tinted windows and wear sunglasses". its as simple as that. what is the equivalent of stage 4 sunglasses to window tint % ??

I had 15% all around, took it of. Tired of getting hassled here lately by NYC cops.

Now I have 50% front side windows, 35% on the rear side windows, and 15% on the rear windshield. Not too bad, Im getting to like it better now.

I have had 20% since I purchased the car in 03. It was the first thing I had done. No hassles or tickets and have lived in CA for most of that time and almost a year in WA. 35% is just too light for me. 20% is perfect IMO.

This was taken on a sunny day but still looks nice and dark.

my car is registered in VA and i have 15%, but im currently living in NC so the cops here wouldnt be able to do anything i dont think (even if they wanted to hassle me) buuut my VA inspection is over-due. i need to get it inspected in VA next time im there, but will need that doctor's note.... the thing is, my dad is my ophthalmologist, which is good except im sure he's not gonna be happy about writing me some "exception to the law" haha but i guess ill have to do it sooner or later

well damn! have a little sit down conversation with him, and make up something like youve been getting pulled over, and then ask if he would write you one.if not... take a blank script and write the damn thing yourself...LOL
wish my father was a ophthalmologist, i have to get mine renewed every year at the eye doctor.

I lived in federal way in the 90's and ran limo tint back then- never got a tint tic, but that was when it was King county PD, Fed Way cops took over shortly after and got real strict. I run limo on my G- its black and looks great. I did medium on the back window for night driving and you cant tell its different than the sides.

i have 35% front and 5% rear and black interior. believe me man 35% looks much classier in my opinion and cops will leave you alone. i live in ny and cops really strict about tints and pass a cop every 5 mins when driving. i used to have 15% and it was soo dangerous to drive at night, one time i almost ran over a person who was crossing the street and was wearing black. i then decided it was time to change the damn things before i go to ojail for killing someone.
