It can be a drivers race between any two cars 
My room-mates in college are the perfect example... When my friends were only mildly modded, the M3 was able to beat the Supra. My M3 friend had a hard time believing that with only an intake,exhaust, and short shift kit, he was beating the Supra... So they switched cars, and with the Supra, he owned the M3. (This is when he went bezerk with the mods on his M3)
FWIW, I think stock for stock, the 6MT G is faster than an E36 M3. The M3 was like, (memory may have faded), 6.2 0-60, and 14.3 or something 1/4. It was the Lightweight Edition M3, (remember that thing? I thought the piece of rope to open the door was hilarious), was 5.x 0-60 and 13.x 1/4. That I think, would be closer matched by the G. But hey, if you have no fear of the top end, if I remember correctly, the US Spec E36 M3 was rev limited to 138mph. The 6MT G can do 155 right?

So just because a girl doesn't like your car you think she knows nothing??? Man, you must be overly in love with your car (I think 95% of the members here are so no offense). Open your eyes, there are cars better looking then the G35 coupe and that are also older. Not because YOU think that it's the case, that it's the absolute truth.

Looks are subjective my friend, so don't say "thats the truth." Good looks are all subjective.
And I too am overly in love with my car, and see no problem with that.

I agree with brittain. It seems like most of the posters to this site these days are 16 years old. I find very little useful information in this forum anymore. No offense, but I really don't care what your friend's girlfriend thinks of your car, and frankly, neither should you. I'm assuming you bought the car (or your parents bought it for you) becaused you liked it, not because your friends girlfriend liked it. Now either live with your decision and enjoy your car, or cave to your peers' criticism and get your parents to trade in your G35 for an M3. Adios. If anyone needs me, I'll be on FA.

You can tell the differences between European and Japanese interiors. BMW's have a lot more features and buttons they can play around with, but because of that reason they are more prone to malfunction. Japanese interiors and features rarely tend to break.
I love the styling of the G35c... the exterior is a clear win for the G, but in my opinion the BMW wins in the interior department.

May I suggest you check out the Technical Forum then? There are quite a few good topics going on at any time over there and plenty of knowledgeable posters too.
