It depends on the kid. My son is 12 and couldn't be a better person. Our coupe will be 6 years old when he's 16 and I wouldn't hesitate to make it his first car. It's safe and reliable, plus he can't tote around the whole city with him. Normally I wouldn't give him a car like this but I'll probably be ready for a new car by then and I wouldn't have to trade this 1 in.

every set of teenagers has their own douche bags

there are a portion of every car driver that isnt a teenager who is still a reckless driver

its just the nature of things

I think it depends on the person receiving the car like a lot have already said. If it's some retarted kid that thinks they are the sh*t cuz they have a G, then nuff said they don't deserve it. They are probably going to be out trying to show off their stock G, trying to race civics and sh*t. I'm not really in favor of rich kids that are not shown the value of hard work and are just given a mercedes, bmw, or even an infiniti. They take things for granted and don't have to show any work ethic to get gifts from their rich daddy. As for myself, I'm 19, will be 20 in september. I was driving a civic, was rear-ended. I had some money saved up and I got some insurance money so decided to get MYSELF a G. I don't depend on my parents and pay my own insurance. anyways, those are my 2 cents

i used to have a jeep grand cherokee that was my moms once i started driving i had that up until january when i had saved up enuff money to buy myself a car. Im 19years old and i work full time from 2:30 am to 11:00am every day which basically killed my social life just so i can own this car. i appreciate and love every second i put into or spend in the car, being a pay the whole payment and insurance. i live in a town that has alotta spoiled kids that go from 330ci's to g35's to M3's in 2 years that dont take care of their s**t and race around showing off. i def agree with nyqueenz, if u can afford the car like your on your own and take care of it and dont drive like and *** then its fine

In todays world I would definitely send my son or daughter to the special driving school the Auto Weekly offers for kids. Is giving your teen a car a good idea or should they earn what they drive? Having respect for what you drive is a big part of maturity, without it there's numerous danger signals!

well to answer your question, it depends on who the person is really. Im 19 now...was 17 when i got my 06 coupe. I made out fine with it...no crashes, no tickets, nothing dumb (doesn't mean i drove it like a granny either). If any of my friends had the car id guarantee it would have been in a tree a long time ago..

Giving a teenager a g35 is about as smart as giving a 10 year old his own gun. Forget the "handful" of responsible male teenage drivers. I use that term loosely. Just look at statistics. Not good for any auto at all just ask them what their insurance premium is or their daddy..... LOL. So now you are going to give them a 298hp 18--30k car with what 1-2 years driving experience at best? hmmm What do you think the average age of drivers that are FOR this in this topic is????? 19???
