If somebody works there butt off for the car nothing wrong with that as long as they pay for the car themselves not mom and dad buy everything for them. I busted my butt for my g, and kids dont appreciate anything that is given to them.

i was basically a teen when i got my g i just turned 20 and i worked my a$$ off so i could get the loan and i still work everyday just to keep it. im 21 now but i wish my parents would buy me stuff for my car haha. i dont think there is anything wrong with teens having nice cars. i got my evo when i was 18 and i paid for that myself too.

im sure its true, there are alot of us (teens) who irresponsible. i know many of them at my school. (im in the desert and almost everyone drinks excessively...) i know many of them drive while drunk or "only had one". and i think its BS. i dont drink too much, but when i do(drink at all) i can assure you im not going anywhere near the drivers seat of my car. il admit, since ive had it ive done some stupid stuff, but nothing life threatening. i let my friend borrow my car once, and he came back telling me how well it handled at 130. you can bet your sweet a** hes never driving it again...
i would say that if parents think giving their kids a brand new car is a good idea, then.. they have a different philosophy than im used to. however, if they have driving expierence ( for me i drove my dads I for over a year, only other car around..) and they are responsible, then its ok. granted, i know personally that the only times im tempted to do stupid stuff is when theres other ppl in the car...

I see nothing wrong with it as long as they don't act like a big shot and pretend they paid for it themselves. No need to fake the funk.

As for me, I drove a hand me down in HS.
