I test drove the Rx8 today. I tried the manual and the automatic. I drove it just like I would drive my g35c. I don't like it. It's handling was so squishy, excelleration bites. You have to really rev it high to go anywhere. it did sound very nice though. I don't know if it's the stock exhaust or my killer surround sound system. I don't always use surround sound when I play GT3 on my PS2, but I just so happend to leave it on today.

Your post does seem to confirm what MT, CD and RT have said about the RX8. It's not a replacement for the RX7, just a 4(?) door 4(?) seat attractive looking Wankel powered Mazda sedan(?).
