Not sure if anyone had tried these drop in filters before.. Just wanted to get any opinions on what you think of these filters.. i went through numerous intakes before until i decided to just go back to stock.. so now im trying to see what other drop in filters are available besides K&N and OEM.. and i came across these ones... tell me what you think good or bad... should i get em? hmm....

I don't own them myself, but they are dry foam filters. Tell us how you like them when they come in!

Personally, I would get one of the synthetic fiber, dry style panel filters. Did some checking and the 2007 350Z and our cars use the same air filter # from Wix and K&N so there's good evidence that they can share air filters.

Not many manufacturers list any filters for the '07+ G35 or even the '08 350Z (WTF) but if you look up the '07 350Z then the options increase. Check this one by Amsoil...

Disclaimer: This is all based on my own research and the assumption that the '07 350z has the VQ35HR with the dual intake so please check for yourself before buying as I haven't tested this theory yet. And let us know if you do confirm the fit...

The problem with oiled filters is that people do not follow the instructions on their use. When you do reoil, follow the instructions to the letter. Don't skimp on the dry time, and do not over oil. If you follow that, you'll be good to go.

I have them on mine. I like them. Cheaper than K&N. No oil needed. You can buy anything what say 2007 350Z or 2007+ G35 or G37.

i believe my K&N was over-oiled from the manufacturer, about six months after the initial install i had to clean the throttle body - pain, but the sensors were fine, so no biggie. i won't go back to oiled though. this was on a '00 maxima se 5spd.

To be honest i have no problem with oiled filters, i use to have K&N on my wife's truck before i switched to AFE's pro dry S filters. When AEM came out with they're dry filters back then i was all over it, only because, for me it was just easier and quicker to clean, didn't have to worry about oiling it or anything. Wash em, dry em and slap it back on.

 

i bit the bullet and ordered these 2 weeks ago (hks), still waiting on them to come in.
