Funny this is the car I previously drove, the a6 2,7t. Stock it's fast with a good launch but not quite as fast as the 6mt Coupe, but this guy the chip and they are good for 50hp, I had 3people in my car he was alone. He had me by a fender the whole time, as I started to climb in third he shut down, it was very close.. but he shut down.

 

Also what helps in the audi's is the quattro package. An audi driver can just drop the clutch and will always have a great launch....Great Advantage.

 

Yeah he was auto (believe I heard power breaking) Yes they can drop the cluth when they are stick and get an Excelent launch... but there goes the tranny problems, I specifically wanted RWD, even if the coupe came in awd like the g35x sedan I'd still choose RWD and I live in NY and I NEED awd/4x4 in the winter; just my preference, the " let looseness of RWD" tire spin, drift effect...etc...

 

Geecoupe nice run, I raced my friends fathers A6 non 2.7t and it was slow but those 2.7 t's give us a good run!! Theres actually a member and his name is audi 2.7t on this forum i believe with a chip? And hes in the 13's.. I also love RWD and am in NY, but had to give up most of the winter driving my car, sucks :/ But then its nothing but fun once the snow and bad weather clears up =). Martin

I ran a brand new audi 2.7t sline (sport ver.) and I knew the guy, he had a S4 that was crazy before but wanted something more "pimp" haha... Anyway, he was like yea your car sounds great what u got, its mad fast also I was like just intake hes like ur lying I was like nope, he said he installed his intake today... So we went from 30 to 80 and i thought he would give me a run, I beat him by a couple cl's with ease, I was so surprised!! he was like god dam, I didnt know it was that quick, I said you shouldve stayed with ur S4 =)... Man for now on, im gonna video tape all my runs.. Ive raced some pretty impressive cars and stayed real close or even beat them byt a bumper or few cl's, everyone is so surprised. Tomorrow night ill try and get some video's while maintaining safety . Martin

Oh I believe it, the chips make a WORLD of a difference for the turbo audis. Im in Ny area too...

Any turbo/diesel vw/audi get great gains with a chip. If I was looking for a car in that class I would definately get a gti 1.8T or A4 1.8T. The ecu/chip mods they have for these cars are so simple and easy to get a good 50-80(<--diesel) out of them.

 

Its its pretty rediculous!!! you could gain 50-60 hp and 70+ lb ft of torque from just the chip from AWE tuning!! Those 1.8t motors are one of the best tuning motors!! Same with the 2.5 t in the old gen. S4.

yup thats me. heh. ive beaten up my car pretty bad but also take care of it...if that makes any sense. neways yea the chip makes a world of a diff. i was running 14.4 at palmdale stock. think i was overboosting. chip. exhaust got me into the mid 13's. my clutch was starting to slip too and now its completely gone. im driving in stock mode so its less torque on the clutch. going to get an RS4 clutch from germany so it can handle the added torque.

250hps/258 torque.
91octane APR chip
307hps/367 torque.

2.7t 6spd and auto is a world of difference. my friend sun had a auto 2.7t a6. sold it and now has a E55. well his audi was fast, but 1st gear lagged til about 4k. the shifts were long and slow. a auto a6 chipped is compareble to a stock 6spd chip. the stock auto tranny cant handle the 367 torque the chip gives it. so when u chip a auto, u need to get a tiptronic chip also. limits the torque to 310. also weighs close to 3900 pounds.

yes the chip can give an audi turbo great gains. my brother put one in his A4 1.8t and he was running close to 6.0 to 60. my parents just bought a volkswagon tdi taureg v10. yes I said v10 diesel. The thing has no break-in and screws to 60. I read somewhere that if a chip is added then it will be as fast as our car. its hard to believe that the thing can go that fast but being a diesel and all, specs are made to keep the emissions down on all diesels.

 

Yea the guy I raced was an auto, it was pretty slow!! But once you mod em, they're fast as hell. And they also have the tiptronic chip to make shifts almost a second faster, its sick!! Audi nice numbers from that chip, its rediculous lol... Any video's? Martin
