Re: Doors lock when car starts
Unfortunately there is no factory setting for auto locking. Check this thread out, though:

Re: Doors lock when car starts
I had Kevin's module installed last Friday (thanks SFLG35). Bottom line, it Kicks Butt. Doors lock 4-6 seconds after you turn the car on, and the windows roll up automatically after two quick pushes of the lock button on the OEM keyless remote.
For $66 shipped, it's a great device. I highly recommend it!

Re: Doors lock when car starts
i was gonna suggest the same. Go to Technical modifications and then go to "window roll up via OEM fob" or whatever it is. It's a long *** thread but the guy ends up making a board that u have to wire into the door and with two clicks of the lock it rolls windows up and there is a Programmable option to have the doors lock after u start the car (you can turn this option off if you dont want it.)

Re: Doors lock when car starts
I emailed the guys at kptechnologies the other day after going through that enormus thread as well. this is the repsonse I got:
The module isn’t currently being produced, but is in delayed development, meaning that it is on our list of ‘things to do’ but it hasn’t reached the top yet. Typically it takes about 3-4 months for a project to go from design to marketplace, and there are about two projects before this one.
Thanks,
Kevin Pierson
I can't wait for it to be available. Got used to it in another vehicle and now I forget to lock the doors when I am driving.

Re: Doors lock when car starts
Jumper-
It is not only available, but SFLG35 had 3 modules shipped out to him on Monday, July 12, 2004. We installed 3 modules on Friday, July 16, 2004 at my house, one VDC Disable and 2 window roll-up's. You must have been inquiring about the sun roof module which is not currently available (still in the design stages), the VDC disable module and the window rollup/door lock module are both available.
Apparently the problem w/ the sun roof open/close module is that you need to have the key in the car and have power to make the sunroof open/close. Kevin is working on a way around this, but it is taking him some time. If his sunroof module works anything like the window up/door lock module, I'll buy it in a heart beat!

Re: Doors lock when car starts
neffster,
Left something off my original post. I emailed KPtech concerning speed control locks. In my Corvette, the doors would autolock once the vehicle reached 12 MPH. I woudl rather have that than having them lock when the car starts. That is what is on the table but not yet in production. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
