Thumbs up New to Forum, looking for my 1st G35 coupe

Hi everyone!

Just today I sold my dads 1997 Mercedes-Benz C280 (54K miles) and now looking to get a early model G35 auto Coupe! looking for the earlier models b/c they are cheaper.

so while searching on here:
1) it seems I should stay away from 2003's
2) 2005 get a new interior and tail lights
3) 2006 get's new head lights and available sport package
4) and check cyl 6 for oil leakage by spark plug

what else should I look out for guys???

I've learned over the years that these forums are some of the best places to be and learn about what's wrong with cars and just hang out (off topic) I've been using the e46fanatics website since I got my BMW in 2004, that place rocks and I hope this place will be the same!

Also I'm really looking our for a white coupe, but i can't really seem to beable to find within 75 miles of my zip, there are like 5 silver ones for 1 in any other color. I saw this black one located about 80 miles away from me, what do you guys think?? looks like aero package and 18in wheel option. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

I would go with the newest, lowest miles you can find for your money of course. You may have to look farther than 75 miles to find what you want. I had to go about 250 miles last week to pick up my 05, but it was worth it! Good luck finding a nice G.

+ 1,000,000 on this. If you can swing an 06 or 07, just do it. These cars are so inexpensive right now it's not even funny. Compared to BMW or Mercedes you're going to save tons of $$$ on the maintenance.

Nothing really. Axle click, but all the requires is more lube on the bushing or something simple. Make sure all the window motors work, that should be about it. Once you find one you like, get a FULL inspection on it by someone separate than the dealer.
