HID's are EagleEye 8000k D2R's & the fogs are H4 Mtec Goldenstyle. I bought a set of the Mtec Superwhites & wasn't happy w/ the way it looked so I went w/ the super yellow fogs & the bluer HID's. The pix don't do them any justice though...trust me it looks amazing in person.

what about your clearance lights? are they still stock?

I have the piaa plasma super whites and like them on teh clearance lights, but not happy with them on the clear corners. Will probably try the amber bulbs that came with the clear corners.

wow that's very blue...how is light output? noticeably dimmer than stock?

The pics make them look alot bluer than they really are. But they def. have the white/blue look & the gold/yellow fogs are a perfect contrast. They are a little bit brighter than the stock bulbs but not by much.

I"ll have to politely disagree that they illuminate better than the stock bulbs. It's FACT that higher color temperature bulbs emit less light compared to the stock color temperature bulbs.

Not trying to flame...i myself have 6000K bulbs and noticed a difference in illumination.

Yes.the best K is bettwen about 4300k and 5100k coz the light at that k is closest to sunlight. Even with a bit blue,your illumination would go down. Yeah,8000k is great look though.

 

moog is right. It might just be your eyes cruz, but my friend has those 8000ks in his car too. they are pretty darn blue and much dimmer than stock.

 

thats a nice blue though. You will get looks for that color. thats for sure..haha

 

8000k looks very nice, but just be careful they will burn your stock ballast. I used to have 8500k and they burn my stock ballast and burn my $500 US money. lol !!!Enjoy guys!!!

I guess my enthusiasm for the new bulbs has impared my judgement. But IMO visibility has improved along w/ the new fogs being on & lets hope they don't melt my housings.
