So i am very new to this forum and such being as i just got my car. Its a 2005 G35 coupe with 6MT. Everything seemed fine with the car when i bought it but now it seems full of problems, for one it is burning through oil and i figured that probably the piston rings right? Then my second problem is that just recently when i would start my car up in the morning or even just randomly my SLIP, VDC and BRAKE light come on and stay on when i have been slipping the tires or had tried to turn off VDC and the BRAKE light is wierd and turns off with acceleration sometimes. . Anyone have any ideas??? thanks in advance

 

Have the codes pulled? Sounds like something funky with your traction control.

Might be something as simple as an alignment issue.

 

Ya thats what i am thinking of doing its just wierd cuz they dont turn on all the time its really annoying but thanks

 

The Brake light can be caused by low brake fluid.

 

piston rings, yes. easy to fix? no.

check your brake fluid level. you probably need brakes.

 

Yeah i know it needs brakes i just dont know why the SLIP light keeps coming on with VDC
