Is it weird for a teenager to have a g35?

Iv been driving a G35 since i got my permit. Its the first car i really started driving in (my dad had an 04X and i absolutely loved it) When the buyout was too expensive for that car, we found a cheaper 05 G35 with less miles and picked it up. I worked all summer at Officemax and detailed cars, so i helped pay it off (around 6k, not much, but hey, thats better than nothing..) and now i have something to show for it.
FTR, i am 18 now. I just drove my car across the country. I love these things.
And we replaced the 04 with an 08XSport. An awesome car as well.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you're just riding my wake. Check post #6! At least we're on the same side about this one

I am still on the fence on this one. My son turns 16 at the end of this year, and I "tapped" my 401k (loan actually) to payoff family van, get a car, and do some house updates. I kept a "top 5" car list that I kept looking at and making deals (Mazda3, Scion TC, Charger, BMW 330, G35). The one thing that kept the G in the running was due to the high "safety discount" on the insurance (I am sure all you 16-18 year olds pay dearly for it). It took quite a nut off the monthly bill. Between the reliability, high performance, and the safety of the G it was no contest (quite a looker too!).
Of course, the car is technically mine and he has to show alot of responsibility before he just takes it full time.
Slightly off topic, but my choice for him at this point is to "use" the G, or my Magnum R/T HEMI. Not sure what car would get him in trouble more.

No it's not weird. it's how you carry yourself and how responsible you are that will demonstrate whether it's "weird" or not.
Can we please not have anymore of these discussion......

If the G was out when I was a teenager I could have had one. But I would not of had any mod money Im big in to modding so when I was 19 I was going to buy a brand new Maxima but I would not have any money left over every month to mod with. So I bought a three year old one and modded the s**t out of her and my Maxima after a year had way more power then my G, and when I was 17 my NX2000 had more power then my G as well.
So I think a G is fine for "most" teenagers. Yes its a nice car and it has some power. Yes some teenagers will crash there G or even blow the motor but imo if thats what kind of driver they are then I think it would happen to any car they were driving. If they are pushing it to the edge ie speed,cornering,1/4 mile, top speed, ect then there going to do that to any car, Sentra or a G35.
There ready to drive or there not ready to drive imo.
