Power gains from 5/16" spacer and 06 RU box?

I just placed an order with Rick at Riverside Infinity for a 5/16" ISO thermal spacer and a 06 RU air box (and JDM Battery cover). Can I expect ~10 RWHP with those mods including my already installed Z-Tube?

Thanks.

Probably a pretty good guess. The spacer will provide the most power improvments. The only way to really know is get on the dyno and do some good pulls. Good luck.

I think the battery cover will probably yield the most gains. JDM FTW!

I mean, in all seriousness, he's right - only way to really know is to strap your car on a dyno. But, go to Motordyne's website to see some of their dyno pulls and you should see that you 'should' gain somewhere around 10-13 hp from the 5/16th spacer.

I was expecting the additional weight of the battery cover to slow me down

Z-Tube is minimal, 1-2 HP maybe. Its biggest benefit is improved intake sound. The Rev-up Airbox will give you zero performance benefit, at least nothing measureable. Its benefit is also cosmetic, i.e. a tweak to the intake note. The spacer OTOH is a definte boost you'll feel almost everywhere in the power band, but especially from 3500+ to redline. But these 3 in concert really change the way the engine sounds and performs.

It's a trade-off. The extra weight is countered by the improved airflow.

I have the 5/16 with revup box and a few other mods, but alone with just the space and the rev-up box I honestly didn't notice much of any change really but that's just me.

^If you have the REVUP engine, the spacer by itself won't make any gains. On a REVUP engine it must be preceeded by the MREV2 and then in that case it makes really good gains.

A spacer on the regular DE engine always makes the HP gains but how much it is "felt" can be subjective.

Thought I'd let you know what MotorDyne advertised their 5/16" spacer back in '06 when I installed mine. It states 11-13 HP and a deeper engine note which is what I felt. Along with a intake/z-tube and a cat back exhaust the sound is increadable....

I probably need to reset the ECU or something to feel the gain.
I have yet to do that.
