Just because something looks "immaculate" doesn't mean it is immaculate. Case in point, your G35 thats already on a tow truck! But it already seems like you made up your mind. Good luck to you sir, not to jinx you, but I have a feeling you're going to need it.

Well that doesn't explain the extra $2500 but so long as you think "there" super cool; then sweet!

OK well all we can do is give advice not tell you what to do.

Good luck. I really hope it does work out.

I am sorry but you are not a bright person at all. You deserve all the future problems you will have with the car.

If something sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
You get what you pay for. For 13k i bet the rod knock wasn't the only thing wrong with this car. You'll be back we'll say hate to say i told ya so

Im lost! So the OP is going to take the used engine? And Infiniti is doing the work? I agree with Phantoms, someone said earlier that rod knock is a tell tail sign of forced induction on its last leg and this dude dont think the tranny is next? OP get your dough back they are laffing at you bigtime!

With experience comes wisdom. I'm sure he will be passing on his lessons learned here to future generations of G owners on this forum. I just hope he doesn't pay too much for the lesson. Good luck and I hope things turn out well.

The dealership is probably snickering at this as we speak... "Another fool out the door!"

Usually when someone comes on a forum and consults fellow members about an issue, there might be a divided response. People will elaborate on why they think they're correct or why they think the other person is wrong. However, doesn't common sense kick in when EVERY SINGLE ONE of them says "don't do it"? Good luck to you, sir, because like everyone's saying, you're gonna need it. If I were you, I'd go to Walmart (save up money while you can for the future troubles) and buy a 2x4, nail it somewhere in the car so that every time you get in, you can knock on it.
